I can close the program, and even put the computer to sleep, and retry Smart Scan but it tells me it’s 'still running' and it’s still stuck on Performance Issues closing does not restart/reset Smart Scan. However both auto updated 4/9/19 to version. Her computer (with Home) is set to auto update Avast. Not sure why Avast behaves differently on my two Win 7 64 computers maybe because one is ‘Pro’ and the other is the ‘Home’ version.
